Every day we go to our main Kitesurfing & Teaching Spot at Soma Bay:

By Zodiac- to catch the EARLY wind or
By Kite Boat- to benefit from a FULL WINDY day
- it DEPENDS...!

... It depends on the wind & your preference!

  • According to the wind forecast and the number of customers, we take either the Zodiac (small fast boat) or the Kite Boat to spend the full day at our main Spot at Soma Bay
  • We plan this together with you, according to the preference of all our kiters / students- should we take the Kite Boat but you prefer to return to the station around 1-2 pm, we are flexible to take you back by Zodiaq
  • If you stay at a Hotel in Abu Suma or Soma Bay, our Hawa Shuttle will pick you up from your hotel beach to bring you directly to the Hawa Platform at Soma Bay

The Station

Hawa Safaga is the former Club Nathalie Simon / Fun Kite and is one of the oldest Kite and Windsurf schools in Safaga / Soma Bay.

  • Located at the long and wide beach of the Menaville Resort in Safaga
  • Accessible to all our guests - whether you stay in the Resort itself - at any other cheaper accommodation option in Safaga - or at a more luxurious one in Soma Bay.
  • Has all the facilities needed to fully enjoy a kitesurfing vacation while travelling alone, with friends or family!

Daily Kite Trip to Soma Bay

On a daily basis we go for our Kite Trip to our unique Spot at Soma Bay:

  • 360° Water -Off the mass - no crowded teaching beaches
  • Has perfect conditions for a carefree kitesurfing experience
  • Steady wind, usually 2-3 knots stronger than what the forecast of the wind stations predict
  • Starting from 5 participants and a good wind forecast, we take the Kite Boat for a full day trip
  • Enjoy a 6/7 km downwind ride to our station!

Courses & Freeriders

  • BEGINNER If you want to join this adrenaline seeking community in a safe and international atmosphere; we will be your buddies! JUMP ON!
  • ALREADY TOOK A COURSE If you have already taken a course but you need to refresh or to improve on certain skills in order to feel in full control and to return to your starting point, WE’LL GET YOU THERE!
  • FREERIDERS If you have already found your joy in kitesurfing and you want to be among other passionate kitesurfers while enjoying riding in a safe environment and exploring unique spots, JOIN US!

Kitesurf Equipment

  • KITES: For our school and rental packages we have the newest Cabrinha kites (Switchblade and Radar) of the year as well as North kiteboarding kites. The sizes vary from 3,5m to 14m
  • BOARDS: We have different board brands and sizes for beginners and advanced riders, including strapless boards.
  • ACCESSORIES: Our main accessories (shoes, harness, helmet, impact vest, wetsuit) are from different brands, mainly NP, ION and NORTH Kiteboarding, that was stocked up this year.

We have special accessories for females and children (starting from 35-40 kg)

Kiting while the sun is rising up the horizon?! Looking out for the dolphins while kiting?!

  • The journey will follow the wind and take you to unspoiled lagoons and islands! Unlimited Kiting!
  • The colours and natural scenery will help you to fully disconnect from your daily life.
  • Alternatives: Snorkelling, fishing, wakeboarding or just swimming and enjoying the sun!
  • Get together with your fellow Kiters for the barbeque and enjoy gazing at the stars or dancing in the open air!
